Jürg Stähelin becomes new partner at IRF Communications
Zurich, 25 February 2011. IRF Communications has appointed Jürg Stähelin (45) as a new partner. From 1 March 2011, he will join the team, which has established itself in providing PR support for capital market transactions and crisis situations, as well as in financial reporting and media relations. Jürg Stähelin will strengthen IRF Communications across all areas of corporate communications. In a highly competitive environment, the efficient, targeted combination of communication tools is crucial for a company’s positioning. Drawing on his extensive experience, Jürg Stähelin will advise companies, associations and individuals on all aspects of strategic and operational communications and brand management.
Jürg Stähelin, a business economist, worked for over 15 years as a communications and marketing manager in the financial sector. For the past four years, he has been responsible for communications at the listed Vontobel Group. Prior to that, he spent ten years at the private banking group Julius Bär in various management roles in communications and marketing, most recently as Head of Corporate Communications. From 1993 to 1996, he was a consultant at a communications agency in Zurich. Jürg Stähelin studied business administration at the University of Zurich and completed an Advanced Management Programme at the Wharton School in Pennsylvania (USA) in 2006.
From April 2011, Jürg Stähelin will also serve on a part-time basis as Managing Director of the Swiss Association for Structured Products (SVSP). The SVSP promotes and represents the common interests of issuers of structured products.
